Services

Engineering services across the full life of a system

Each service below can be delivered on its own or combined into a single engagement. Scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing before work begins.

  • Custom software development
  • Cloud infrastructure and DevOps
  • Data engineering and analytics support
  • Quality assurance and test automation
  • System modernisation and migration
  • Technical support and maintenance

Service details

What each service includes

Service 01

Custom software development

Design and implementation of web applications, internal business systems, APIs and integrations, from first specification to production release.

Typically includes

  • Requirements analysis and technical specification
  • Front-end development with React and TypeScript
  • Back-end services and REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Third-party and internal system integrations
  • Automated test coverage for delivered functionality
  • Deployment pipeline and release documentation

Service 02

Cloud infrastructure and DevOps

Infrastructure design and automation so that environments are reproducible, observable and safe to change.

Typically includes

  • Infrastructure as code and environment definitions
  • Containerised workloads and orchestration
  • CI/CD pipelines with automated verification
  • Monitoring, log aggregation and alerting
  • Backup, restore and disaster-recovery procedures
  • Access control and secret management

Service 03

Data engineering and analytics support

Consolidation of data from operational systems into models that reporting and analysis can rely on.

Typically includes

  • Data source review and mapping
  • Extraction, transformation and loading pipelines
  • Relational schema design and migrations
  • Data validation and quality checks
  • Reporting models and dashboard data layers
  • Scheduled processing and failure handling

Service 04

Quality assurance and test automation

A test strategy proportional to risk, automated so that regressions are found before release rather than after.

Typically includes

  • Test strategy and coverage planning
  • Unit and integration test suites
  • End-to-end browser automation
  • Regression runs inside the delivery pipeline
  • Performance and load testing
  • Release verification and defect reporting

Service 05

System modernisation and migration

Incremental improvement of existing systems, replacing fragile parts without stopping the business that depends on them.

Typically includes

  • Codebase, dependency and architecture review
  • Dependency and runtime upgrades
  • Refactoring toward testable boundaries
  • Database and platform migration planning
  • Phased cut-over with rollback paths
  • Knowledge capture and documentation

Service 06

Technical support and maintenance

Continuous operation of live systems, with defined handling for incidents and planned maintenance work.

Typically includes

  • Monitoring and health checks
  • Incident triage and corrective fixes
  • Security and dependency patching
  • Scheduled maintenance windows
  • Capacity and cost review
  • Periodic reporting on system health

Deliverables

What you receive at the end of an engagement

  • Source code in a repository you control, with commit history intact.
  • Infrastructure definitions and deployment pipeline configuration.
  • Automated test suites and instructions for running them.
  • Architecture notes describing components, data flows and integrations.
  • Operational runbooks covering deployment, monitoring and recovery.
  • A handover session and a written summary of known limitations.

Engagement and estimation

How scope and effort are agreed

Step 01

Discovery first

A short paid or scoped discovery phase produces a shared understanding of the system, the constraints and the risks before any estimate is treated as firm.

Step 02

Written scope

Deliverables, assumptions, exclusions and acceptance criteria are documented so that both sides measure completion the same way.

Step 03

Reviewed increments

Progress is demonstrated on a regular cadence, and changes to scope are recorded with their effect on time and cost.
